Ryan Spinks
Ryan Spinks is a seasoned media and communications specialist with a dynamic career spanning hospitality, outdoor recreation, product development, and brand marketing.
Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains in the Vail Valley, Spinks launched his professional journey as a competitive ski athlete, competing in elite events including the X Games, Gravity Games, and the U.S. Open while working alongside product and marketing teams to strategize an execute go-to-market and product marketing campaigns. These formative years fueled his passion for storytelling, visual media, and authentic brand experiences, ultimately guiding him into a career rooted in public relations, photo/video production, marketing strategy, and product innovation.
In 2018, Spinks joined QuietKat Electric Bikes as Creative Director and Product Manager, where he led the design and launch of several groundbreaking products; most notably the Jeep eBike. This collaboration generated nationwide exposure, including a placement in Jeep’s 2020 Super Bowl campaign featuring Bill Murray. During his tenure, he also directed commercial productions, managed media relations, and pioneered virtual product presentation strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following QuietKat’s acquisition by Vista Outdoor in 2020, Spinks narrowed his focus to PR, brand development, and ambassador management. He specialized in crafting immersive brand narratives and producing high-impact content designed to elevate product visibility and deepen consumer engagement.
As a PR strategist, event planner and content producer at SPEC PR, Spinks worked with a small team to plan and execute press events, coordinate logistics and travel planning for photo and video shoots, and manage media relations for top-tier clients such as Yamaha Motor CO. USA, Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative, Cardo Systems, SC Products Group, The Strider Foundation, and the Arthritis Foundation.
As a freelance brand ambassador, media producer and PR consultant, Spinks has worked with outdoor brands such as Liberty Skis, Armada Skis, Oakley, Monster Energy, Ryno Power, Picture Organic Clothing, and more.
Spinks’ expertise spans media relations, content production, social media management, paid advertising, and event activation. He is also a leader in AI integration initiatives, developing forward-thinking applications of AI tools for communications, creative production, and event planning.
An avid outdoorsman, Spinks continues to explore the mountains on skis, motorcycles, and mountain bikes alongside friends and family. A defining strength of Spinks’ work is his deep personal connection to the outdoor lifestyle. He doesn’t just market to riders, skiers, adventure travelers, or motorsports enthusiasts, he is one of them. Whether navigating backcountry ski lines, exploring on mountain bikes, touring on adventure motorcycles, speeding across trails on dirt bikes, ATV’s, side-by-sides and snowmobiles, or capturing content from in the most remote and extreme places, Spinks lives the same experiences as the audiences he serves.
